Here is my group of cards and I also made a matching box to give them in.
To see each of the cards individually as well as the template that I made to create these, click on the slideshow below.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed making them.Happy stamping!
Anyway here are the three cards that I created (showing links to Michelle's tutorials).
I was not really happy with my sponging on this one and as I did not have a large flourish I used the "So Swirly" Stampin' Around Jumbo Wheel. It is amazing what 'sins' ribbons can hide, because underneath this ribbon is a mark from my white gel pen that looked wrong. Here is the link to Michelle's tutuorial.
Stamps: Stampin' Up! "Both Way Blossoms" (retired), Jumbo Wheel "So Swirly"
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Night of Navy, Soft Sky
Inks: Stampin' Up! Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, Night of Navy, Basic Black
Accessories: Sponges, White Gel Pen, Black Marker, Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Paper Piercer, Silver brads
The next card I made was following Michelle's Whirling Leaves of Autumn tutorial and as I didn't have any stamps of whirling leaves I thought I would see if one of my Stampin' Up! wheels would work. At first I did not like my efforts but thought I would see it through and mount the card to see if I changed my mind - and I did, I quite like it when put all together.
Stamps: Stampin’ Up! “Lovely as a Tree”, Jumbo Wheel "It's Beautiful"
Cardstock: Stampin’ Up! Cool Caribbean ('07 In Color), Night of Navy, Mellow Moss, Whisper White
Ink: Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy, Cool Caribbean, Mellow Moss, Basic Black
Accessories: Paper Piercer, Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Silver Brads, Creative Memories Circle Template, Sponge, Versamark Pad, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun
The third card that I made following Michelle's tutorials was based on her California Sunset tutorial and again as I didn't have any stamps of Palm Trees I thought I would modify this and use a Stampin' Up! stamp that I had. I chose the "Summer by the Sea" set, which I masked before doing any brayering. I also was not patient when I dyed my white ribbon with Pink Passion ink and it was still damp when I applied it to the card, so if you look very close you can see some smudges of where the ink has bled onto the card beneath the brads. Sometimes we just need to be patient for the best results!
Stamps: Stampin’ Up! “Summer by the Sea”
Cardstock: Stampin’ Up! Whisper White, Basic Black, Pink Passion
Ink: Stampin’ Up! Regal Rose, Marigold Morning ('07 In Color), Lovely Lilac, Basic Black
Accessories: Paper Piercer, Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon (which I dyed with Pink Passion), Brads, Sponge, Stampin' Up! Markers, Stampin' Up! Rub Ons
